South-East Europe: Business Advisory Councils supported by ERT

MISSION :
ERT supports Business Advisory Councils (BACs) set up by individual ERT companies in South-East European countries – currently in Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Turkey.

Each BAC provides an effective consultation body between the national government and a significant part of the European foreign investors’ community in its host country. BACs give recommendations to the national government and administration to promote improvement of the business climate for foreign as well as local investors.

BACs are composed of the local representatives of companies behind ERT Members, making up a wide cross-section of the European foreign investor community in their host country. Based on their experience of company operations in their host country, and able to draw on the experience of global companies, the local company representatives contribute to the formulation of their BAC’s recommendations.

In some countries the BACs work closely with, or as a part of, other business organisations. Every Business Advisory Council makes recommendations on its own behalf, not on behalf of ERT.

The publications produced by the individual Business Advisory Councils are available below.

In Romania, ERT supports the Foreign Investors Council (FIC).
